Mr. Kenney’s artistic interests include realistic figurative sculpture of historic figures, adults and children that represent everyday human behavior, abstract geometric forms, three dimensional art in education, public art and religious oriented sculpture that evokes in the viewer a realization of the spiritual aspect of humanity and the struggle between good and evil. Joe’s artistic goal is to achieve clarity as an observer of human behavior and authenticity in sculpture so that his work brings forth an awareness of our connection to one another and the spirituality of our journey in life. Greco-Roman sculpture and the classical sculptors who followed influence his work. From the influence of timeless design, his work reflects love of family, faith, and commitment to social justice issues.
